Azide-PEG6-NHS ester is a bifunctional linker with azide and NHS ester function groups flanking PEG6 (hexaethylene glycol). The PEG spacer increases solubility in aqueous media. The azide group easily reacts with terminal alkynes, BCN, and DBCO via Cu-catalyzed and copper-free click chemistry reactions. The amine-reactive N-hydroxysuccinimide residue is used for binding the primary amines of proteins, peptides, amine-modified oligonucleotides, and other amine-containing molecules.
